Description
An antique platform rocking chair in the Victorian style, dating to the late 19th or early 20th century. Crafted in the manner of renowned makers like Heywood-Wakefield, this rocker features a stationary base with a spring mechanism. The frame is constructed of bent rattan with a high, flared back, decorative woven loops, and intricate "spiderweb" caning on the back panel. The chair has a two-tone finish, combining natural and dark-stained rattan. The item's measurements are 39" (H) x 30" (W) and it is in good condition for its age.
