Description
A late 19th or early 20th-century "Carver" style armchair in the Pilgrim Century/Colonial Revival style. This chair is constructed from turned wood, featuring tall back posts with prominent finials and turned spindles. The seat is hand-woven from natural rush or splint. This style of chair, popular during the American Colonial Revival period, pays tribute to early American furniture forms. The item's measurements are 48" (H) x 22.5" (W) and it is in good condition; the frame is sturdy and the woven seat is tight.
