Description

This lot features a Kurzweil K2600XS 88-Key Digital Sampling Synthesizer Workstation, a professional-grade keyboard renowned for its advanced synthesis and comprehensive feature set. The K2600XS model is equipped with a fully-weighted, 88-note keyboard that is both velocity and aftertouch sensitive, offering a realistic piano-like feel. The workstation is powered by Kurzweil's proprietary Variable Architecture Synthesis Technology (V.A.S.T.), which provides 48-voice polyphony and up to four oscillators per voice, allowing for complex layering and sound design. It comes with 12MB of onboard sound ROM, expandable up to 44MB, and includes 438 superb factory programs, notably Kurzweil's acclaimed Stereo Grand Piano and the realistic KB3 tonewheel organ emulation mode. For performance and production, the K2600XS features a built-in 32-track sequencer and a powerful KDFX digital effects processor for stunning reverb and other effects. Real-time expressive control is provided by two programmable ribbon controllers, eight assignable sliders (which act as organ drawbars in KB3 mode), a pitch wheel, and a mod wheel. The unit is large and heavy, measuring approximately 54.3 inches wide by 17.8 inches deep by 4.8 inches high, and weighing around 72 lbs. It includes extensive connectivity with eight 1/4" balanced audio outputs, two SCSI ports, and full MIDI In/Out/Thru capabilities. CONDITION NOTE: The keyboard is in overall good functional condition, but has cosmetic damage: The plastic end cap on the right side of the keyboard is cracked and broken. The unit is untested and does not come with a power cable.
