Description
This is an original “Farmer’s Friend” wooden egg carrier crate, patented August 30, 1898, and produced by the Multnomah Lumber & Box Co. of Portland, Oregon. The crate features its original black stenciled advertising, including full maker details and product branding, still clearly legible despite age-related wear. Constructed from unfinished pine with a metal wire handle and turned wood grip, it reflects late 19th-century American utilitarian craftsmanship. The crate measures approximately 10" tall by 13" wide and is in good condition.
