Description
This lot features a signed and dated print titled "Grapes of Canaan" by the esteemed Japanese artist Sadao Watanabe. The piece is a katazome stencil print on handmade washi paper, dated 1970. It depicts two figures carrying a large bunch of grapes, with a style that blends traditional Japanese folk art with Christian biblical themes, a hallmark of Watanabe's work. The print is professionally framed in a simple black frame and measures approximately 31 inches high by 26 inches wide. The art and frame are both in good condition.
