Description
Highly ornate decorative balance scales, commonly referred to as the Scales of Justice. Crafted from a brass-toned metal with intricate openwork scroll designs on the horizontal beam, central column, and tripod base. The central pillar is accented with clear faceted crystal elements and adorned with hanging teardrop crystal prisms on either side. Two pressed glass dishes are suspended by fine chains, functioning as the scale pans. The base is richly detailed with Rococo-style flourishes and supports the piece securely. Measures approximately 20 inches tall and 5 inches wide. Good condition.
