Description
This pair of hand-carved and painted wooden soldier figurines represents enlisted men of the Imperial Russian Guard in 1910, specifically members of the Personal Convoy of His Imperial Majesty, as shown on the bottom labels in Russian. It depicts soldiers wearing early 20th-century Caucasus-style uniforms with traditional weapons and headgear, hand-carved and painted. They measure approximately 5.5" in height and 1.5" in width each, and are in good condition. Text on the base (translated): “Private of His Imperial Majesty’s Own Convoy – 1910”.
