Description
1921 Westinghouse RC (RA-DA) Three-Tube Regenerative Receiver. Manufactured by Westinghouse Electric & Manufacturing Co., East Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, and also sold under the Radiola name. This early radio consists of two units combined in one wooden cabinet: the Type RA receiving tuner, with a wavelength range of 180–700 meters, and the Type DA detector-amplifier. It features three vacuum tubes with regenerative tuning and dual black ebonite front panels with original factory dials and labeled connections (DET, 1 STAGE, AMP FIL RHEO). Designed for amateur and experimental radio use, it stands as one of the first commercially produced home radios, representing the beginning of consumer wireless communication.
