Description
Edward Potthast (American, 1857–1927), A Holiday (1915). This Museum Shop print from the Art Institute of Chicago reproduces Potthast’s oil on canvas (76.4 x 101.8 cm), part of the Friends of American Art Collection. The painting depicts children playing along the shore, gathering shells and wading in the surf, rendered in Potthast’s vibrant Impressionist brushwork that captures the carefree spirit of summer. Size: 10.75” x 8”, good condition, broken picture hook.
