Description
Vintage silverplate flatware set by Oneida Silver in the Community Plate “Coronation” pattern, introduced in 1936. The design is distinguished by its Art Deco styling, with a floral crest framed at the tip of each handle and vertical tapered lines extending downward, inspired by the carvings of Grinling Gibbons at Hampton Court. The set is housed in a tarnish-proof wooden case lined with red velvet, marked Oneida Ltd., and includes the original Community Plate guarantee and Good Housekeeping Institute approval seal. The case measures 16.75" x 11.25" x 4.5". Overall in good vintage condition with normal light wear consistent with age.
