Description
This is a limited edition lithograph print titled Ethel the Gourmet by Charles Wysocki, published by The Greenwich Workshop, Inc. in 1992. It is signed and numbered by the artist, 6772/10179, on the upper left portion of the image. The artwork features a tabby cat named Ethel, wearing a red collar and nestled inside a large mustard-yellow teapot labeled “Tweeties.” Surrounding shelves are filled with whimsical cat-themed food and household products, including “Spiced Mice,” “Me-ow Tuna,” “Catfish Chowder,” “Sour Puss Pickles,” “Mice Pudding,” and “Tweety Pie.” Wysocki’s signature Americana folk art style infuses the piece with humor and charm. Charles Wysocki (1928–2002) was an American painter celebrated for his primitive style, portraying nostalgic scenes of American life, often from the horse-and-buggy era. His artwork was widely reproduced in prints and adapted into calendars, puzzles, collector plates, and other merchandise. The piece measures 25” x 22” and is in good condition. It comes with documentation paper.
