Description
This pair of mirrored white porcelain figurines features young boys riding water buffalo, each depicted playing a flute. Crafted in the traditional Blanc de Chine (Dehua) porcelain style, they are celebrated for their fine, smooth white finish. The imagery of the boy and buffalo is a recurring motif in Chinese art, symbolizing springtime, agriculture, simplicity, and the harmony of rural life. These figures capture a serene and pastoral spirit. They measure approximately 10.5" x 5.25" x 9.5" each and are in good condition.
