Description
This is a framed lithograph titled Nature Morte I by Jean Oosterlynck. The artwork features a table with bottles, a blue bowl of fruit, and additional fruits scattered across the surface. The background consists of abstract blocks of blue and green, suggesting a wall or window. Oosterlynck’s style is reflected in the use of vibrant colors and semi-abstract arrangements. Jean Oosterlynck was born in Paris of Flemish origin and studied in Courtrai and Anvers, Belgium. Influenced by Paul Klee, he emphasized the symbolic value of objects, arranging them in bold, semi-abstract compositions. It measures 30” x 28” and is in good condition.
