Description
This is an original oil painting by the artist Kee Fung, signed on the lower right. The work is characterized by textured impasto brushstrokes and a vibrant palette. The composition features prominent trees and foliage with red and pink tones on the left foreground, contrasting with lighter blossoms and abstract forms in the midground. In the background, a large warm-toned orb, resembling a sun or moon, casts a glow over a misty landscape with faint architectural forms on a distant hillside. The overall style leans toward abstraction within a landscape setting, emphasizing mood and atmosphere through bold color and texture. Kee Fung Ng was born in China in 1941 and graduated from the Fu-San Art School in Canton in 1960. He immigrated to San Francisco in 1968, where he became known for his oils. Now retired, he continues to reside in San Francisco. The painting measures 31” x 25”. The canvas surface is in good condition, while the backing paper shows tearing.
