Description
Bronze tabletop loop sculpture with fluid, abstract loops set on a black circular base, after Bob Bennett's abstract artworks. Bob Bennett was a California sculptor best known for his polished bronze and welded metal figures, created in close collaboration with his identical twin brother, Tom. Beginning with welded wire works in the late 1960s, the brothers transitioned to bronze casting in 1974 and founded Bennett Sculpture , a network of galleries that brought their art nationwide. In the late 1990s, they sold the galleries to focus entirely on creating art. Bob passed away in 2003, but his legacy endures through their expressive, sensuous forms and Tom’s continued work. Stands 6 inches tall. Surface shows minor wear consistent with vintage condition. Polished brass finish.
