Description
This is a 91-piece sterling silver flatware set in the Sir Christopher pattern by Wallace, introduced in 1936. Named after the British architect Sir Christopher Wren, the pattern features intricately scalloped handles adorned with floral motifs and refined scrollwork. All pieces are unmonogrammed and housed in a fitted wooden box. The set is in good condition with minor wear from use. The total combined weight is 4581 grams, broken down as follows: 2658g pure sterling silver 1679g sterling and stainless steel 244g sterling and plastic Wallace Silversmiths, originally established as R. Wallace & Sons in Wallingford, Connecticut, was founded by Robert Wallace in the early 19th century. The company pioneered American-made German silver and expanded to sterling silver flatware production in 1875. Known for its fine craftsmanship and ornate patterns such as Chippendale and Sir Christopher, Wallace remains one of the most recognized names in American silverware.
