Description
Remington-Style Trooper of the Plains by American artist Frederic Remington (1861–1909), cast by Roman Bronze Works. The sculpture depicts a cavalry soldier on horseback with a raised revolver in a dynamic, galloping pose supported by a clump of sagebrush. Crafted in patinated bronze and mounted on a marble base, the piece is impressed with the artist's signature. Frederic Remington was a prominent American painter, illustrator, sculptor, and writer known for capturing the spirit of the American West. His work focused on cowboys, soldiers, Native Americans, and Western landscapes, often emphasizing movement and drama. Trooper of the Plains was copyrighted in 1909, the year of Remington's death, and reflects his mastery of complex, gravity-defying sculptural forms. It measures 9.5” x 5.25” x 10.75” and is in good condition.
