This is a Baccarat crystal elephant figurine with its trunk raised, a posture often associated with good luck in various cultures. It features smooth contours, a polished finish that reflects light, and is stamped on the bottom. Baccarat is a renowned French crystal manufacturer founded in 1764 in the town of Baccarat, France, by authorization of King Louis XV. Originally producing utilitarian items such as mirrors and windows, the company began manufacturing crystal in 1816. It gained international acclaim for its craftsmanship through exhibitions and royal commissions, including work for the Dolmabahçe Palace in Istanbul.
