Description
Will Rafuse is a contemporary Canadian artist known for his bright colors and the slightly animated twist of subjects he paints. He works mainly in oils, and is inspired by artists like Modigliani, Gauguin and Balthus. His art is in the collection of corporations and individuals around the world. This painting is an oil on canvas painting of a chef at a vineyard, with a large spread of food over a table. The chef is raising a glass of rain to the viewer. The chef themselves look like “Jean Pierre The Chef” who was one of Rafuse’s subjects in an earlier painting. The canvas measures approximately 36.5” x 21.5”, and aside from some very slight damage on some corners of the canvas, the painting is in good condition.
