Description
This is a hand-tinted photograph by Wallace Nutting (1861–1941), depicting a rural landscape with blossoming trees. Wallace Nutting was an American artist, photographer, author, and antiquarian. He was known for his hand-colored photographs of pastoral New England scenes and interiors. Initially a Congregational minister, he later focused on photography, capturing idealized rural landscapes. He also published several books featuring his photographs and essays. It is signed below the image and presented in a frame measuring 12 x 7.5 inches. It is in good condition with minor wear on the frame consistent with age.
