Description
These are two ceramic art tiles by R.C. Gorman, each measuring 12 inches by 12 inches. One tile is titled Saguaro and depicts a Navajo woman with pottery bowls in a desert landscape featuring saguaro cacti. The other tile features a vertical composition of a woman in a contemplative pose. They are unframed and marked 'A.R.T. Co., Albuquerque, NM' on the reverse. Care instructions are included on the back. They show light wear consistent with display use. These tiles reflect the work of R.C. Gorman, a Navajo artist known for portraying Native American women through painting, ceramics, and other mediums.
