Description
This is a , made-in-Mexico, reproduction of a pre-Columbian Aztec clay flute, known as a Uilacapitztli or Tlapitzalli. Crafted from buff earthenware, it features a sculpted head with winged elements, likely symbolizing an Aztec deity or mythical figure. The tubular body has four fingerholes and measures 12.5” in length. Good condition with minor wear consistent with age.
