Description
This is an original oil painting by Hungarian-Canadian impressionist artist Nandor Horthy (b. 1927), known for his tranquil and atmospheric landscapes. The vertical-format painting depicts a group of white egrets standing in shallow water beneath a vivid sunset, rendered in an impressionistic style with expressive brushwork and luminous color. The piece is signed “Horthy” in the lower right and is framed with a light-colored, textured border. Nandor Horthy immigrated to Canada in 1957 and went on to win numerous awards for his artwork across North America. He is a signature member of the Society of Canadian Artists and operates the Horthy Studio Gallery in Toronto. This item measures 12 inches x 22 inches and is in good condition with minor wear to the frame.
