Description
This is a pair of vintage Khatam marquetry mosaic trinket boxes featuring intricate inlay work using wood and abalone shell. Crafted using an ancient Persian technique, the boxes display elaborate geometric patterns in a mosaic style, reflecting Islamic and Middle Eastern design heritage. One box has a red velvet-lined interior, while the other has a blue velvet-lined interior. The smaller box measures 3.25 inches long, 2.5 inches wide, and 1.75 inches high; the larger box measures 4 inches long, 2.75 inches wide, and 2.25 inches high. Both are in good condition.
