Description
This is a Chinese hand-carved wood stump table with a glass top. The carving possibly depicts the Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove, a group of 3rd-century Chinese scholars and poets known for their rejection of political life, embrace of Daoism, and pursuit of individualism and nature. The scene may represent their symbolic gathering, often illustrated in Chinese art and literature. The table measures 36 inches by 26 inches. It is in good condition.
