Description
Schatz Anniversary Clock in Dome Display Case. Off-white dial with gold-colored numbers and hands. The clock is supported by pedestal, columns, and crown with brass application. This is a torsion pendulum clock which keeps time with a mechanism called a torsion pendulum, which is a weighted disk or wheel often decorated with 3 or 4 chrome balls on ornate spokes that is suspended by a thin wire. The clock's gears are visible from the side. The front of the clock is marked "Schatz" and "Made in Germany", and the back of the clock is marked "Jahresuhrenfabrik 49 Germany". The clock comes in a glass dome display case with a bronze-colored base. Measures approximately 11" tall with 8" diameter. Functionality not tested for. Appears to be in good condition.
