Description
This oil on canvas painting, signed "P. Carole," portrays a romanticized English hunt scene inspired by the Georgian or Regency period. The composition features figures in period costume, a white horse, and a dog set against a backdrop of lush greenery and refined architecture, evoking a sense of genteel rural leisure. Executed in a 20th-century romantic realist style, the work reflects the influence of 19th-century narrative artists like George Morland or Thomas Gainsborough, with detailed yet soft rendering and a vibrant color palette. Framed in an ornate vintage frame, the piece measures approximately 44.75 inches wide by 32.5 inches high and is in good condition, with only minor wear to the frame consistent with age.
