Description
This is the Gwen Thompson doll from American Girl’s 2009 Girl of the Year collection, now retired. Gwen's character story includes a period of temporary homelessness, which later drew public attention and controversy. In response, American Girl company emphasized the character’s role in promoting tolerance and anti-bullying awareness. At the time, they partnered with HomeAid, contributing nearly $500,000 toward housing support initiatives. The doll stands 18" H, is dressed in her original meet outfit, and is in good condition.
