Description
This is a 38-piece Chinese Export porcelain set from the late 19th to early 20th century, featuring the cabbage leaf (bok choy) and butterfly motif in the green "famille verte" palette. This style was produced primarily for export to Europe and the Americas, blending traditional Chinese symbolism with Western decorative preferences. The design, associated with prosperity and good fortune, was part of a broader movement of cultural exchange during a time of expanding global trade. The set reflects the historical significance of Chinese Export porcelain as a key element in East–West artistic and commercial interactions. It is in good condition.
