Description
This is a mechanical beam scale by Ohaus from the 1950s–60s. It operates on the principle of equal arms, where an unknown mass is balanced against known weights. Ohaus Corporation was founded in 1907 in Newark, New Jersey. In 1912, Gustav Ohaus and his son invented the Harvard Trip Balance, which became the standard form of mechanical balances after its introduction. The lot includes assorted weights. It measures 14" L x 7.75" H x 6.5" W and is in good condition.
