Description
This is a reproduction of "La Comète" by Maurice Guiraud-Rivière (1881–1947), an Art Deco sculpture depicting a female nude modeled as a streamlined comet, with flowing hair trailing behind her. This design was considered a symbol of modernity, with an example displayed in the Chrysler Building's reception from 1930 to 1942. It rests on a rectangular black marble platform. Dimensions: approximately 19 inches long, 12 inches tall, and 4.5 inches wide. Good condition.
