Description
This is a vintage 1960s H. Gerstner & Sons Model 52 wooden tool chest featuring 11 lined drawers. The exterior is covered in a textured black case with a top handle, metal latches, and a lock mechanism (key not included). The interior lid contains a diamond-shaped mirror with green felt lining. The Style 52, known as the "Journeyman Chest," was produced from 1936 to the late 1970s, when the design changed to 10 drawers. The chest is often mistaken for the Style 42, which has the same drawer layout but is only 20" wide. It measures approximately 26.25" W x 9.5" D x 18" H. Signs of wear include scuffs, scratches, and felt discoloration, consistent with use and age. It is in good condition.
