Description
This is a dragon-themed Asian-style bench with a storage compartment. The backrest features intricate dragon carvings, with two central panels depicting floral and bird motifs. The armrests are adorned with carved mythological creatures resembling shishi, commonly found in Chinese and Japanese art as protectors against evil spirits. Surrounding the bench are scrollwork, geometric Greek key borders, and ornamental reliefs. It is a 20th-century reproduction inspired by Qing Dynasty Chinese craftsmanship. It measures approximately 56" L x 51.75" H x 26" W and is in good condition.
