Description
This is a framed art print of Kitchen Scene by Kitagawa Utamaro (1754–1806), created in 1794–95 during Japan’s Edo period (1615–1868). The original artwork is a diptych of woodblock prints, ink, and color on paper. This print represents the right side of the diptych, depicting a cook reacting to hot vapor from a boiling pot while another tends to the fire. It measures approximately 20" in height and is in good condition.
