Description
Tony Evans (b. 1964, United Kingdom) Signed Raku-Fired Ceramic Vase featuring an organic shape and recessed foot. The artist's signature is on the base. Tony Evans is a ceramic artist currently based in the U.K. He specializes in Raku pottery, a traditional technique where individual pieces are first fired at 2000 degrees and then submerged in paper or leaves as a way to reduce the surface, causing a unique crackling affect and polychrome lustre. The vase measures approximately 8.25"x 8.25"x 9". Good condition.
