Description
This is a 1970s hand-blown Maltese Mdina glass ear-shaped vase, decorated in 'sea & sand' colors. The Mdina Glass factory, founded in 1968 by Michael Harris, was inspired by the scenic landscapes of Malta, with colors reflecting the sun, sea, and sand. Harris left the factory in 1972 and later established the Isle of Wight Glass factory. Since 1981, the Mdina factory has been run by Joseph Said, one of the original apprentices. The vase measures approximately 5.5" H x 5" diameter and is in good condition.
