Description
This lot includes 12 shark teeth fossils, relics of shark evolution and biology. Shark skeletons are made entirely of cartilage, with teeth being the primary parts to survive as fossils. These teeth, dating back hundreds of millions of years, come from various periods, with the oldest fossils dating to 450 million years ago. Fossil shark teeth from the Cenozoic Era (65 million years ago) are more common. The largest tooth measures 2.25" long, and the smallest measures 1.5" long. All are in good condition.
