Description
Indo-Persian Khatam Inlay Micro Mosaic Frame with a small hand painted picture behind glass. Khatam is an ancient Persian technique of inlaying. It is a version of marquetry where art forms are made by decorating the surface of wooden articles with delicate pieces of wood, bone and metal precisely-cut intircate geometric patterns. The frame measures approximately 7"x 5.5". There are two small chips on one of the sides of the frame, not noticeable when viewing from the front. Good condition.
