Description
Original Seascape Watercolor Painting by John Clark Isaac Uren, 1879. John Clark Isaac Uren was a landscape and seascape artist active from the 1870s to the 1890s who often painted watercolors of the coastlines of Devon and Cornwall, England. This watercolor depicts a rocky coastline with rough seas, and massive rock formations jutting out from the coast. The painting is signed and dated "J.C. Uren, 1879". There is some confusion as to the signature and identification of the J. C. Uren paintings, and even to his name. Research suggests John Clark Isaac Uren may also be the same person as John Clarkson Uren, or John Clarksen U'ren, although whether or not this is the same person or two entirely different artists is unknown. The painting itself is placed in a frame that measures approximately 32.25" x 18.25". The painting is in good condition.
