Description
This is an artistic impression of a memorial brass of Sir Robert de Bures, hand printed on pure Irish linen with a thin wooden plank at the top and bottom. The original monumental brass was made in 1302, and is said to be one of the best military brasses of the period. Sir Robert took part in several campaigns of Edward I. The knight is depicted in armor carrying a shield and a sword, with his feet resting on a lion. This item measures approximately 9.5" L x 31" H and is in good condition.
