Description
This Barbour Silver Co. Etched Sterling Silver 5pc Tea Set includes a teapot (8"x 10.5"x 5.5", 703g), a coffee pot (10.25"x 9.5"x 4.5", 765g), a creamer (7"x 5"x 4.75", 365g), a lidded sugar bowl with handles (8"x 6.75"x 4.75", 494g) and a bowl (4"x 5.5"x 4.75", 229g). Measurements are in approximations. Total weight is 2,556g. All items feature an etched floral design and stand on pedestal hexagonal bases. The base of each piece is marked "Sterling, 1283, BSC". BSC stands for Barbour Silver Company who became part of International Silver Co. in 1898, marking its significance in silver manufacturing history. The BSC trademark was used until about 1931, which dates this set to pre-1931. Good condition with age appropriate wear.
