Description
"Rainbow Trout" Gyotaku print by Ron Warner. Signed "R. Warner" in the lower right corner. The art of Gyotaku originated in Japan during the early 1800's. A Gyotaku is made when water color or oils are painted on the actual fish and then rice paper or fabric is applied and gently rubbed, resulting in a mirror image rich in detail and color. Photo prints of Gyotaku by Ron Warner offer the same fine color and structural detail seen in his original work. Framed and matted with glass and has a hook on the back for hanging. Measures approximately 21.5"x17.5". There are some dents and scratches to the frame, otherwise in great condition.
