Description
Vintage Mid-Century Modern George Kovacs Chrome Cylinder Table Lamps. George Kovacs was an American industrial designer who is often referred to as the "Father of Modern American Lighting." In 1954 he opened his first lighting store after graduating from the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn's design program, and was responsible for creating some of the most iconic mid century modern lighting fixtures. This pair of table lamps feature a minimalist design with chrome covered metal cylinders making up the bodies of the lamps. These lamps do not come with lampshades, but have been tested and found to working fine. Each lamp measures approximately 4.5" Ø x 24", and are in good condition.
